Eureka...Eutectic??
It's alive...it's alive!! I've finally launched my jewelry line, Eutectic. Trying to be both webmeister and artist and designer is tough, so it's still in the beginning stages. I hope to have everything up by the end of the month in time for my "coming out" party (basically me and my husband watching TV...just a normal day).
I will also have the Etsy store updated fairly soon...that way you can buy the pretty things!

I want to be a ninja
I'm fairly uncoordinated and the only living being I can sneak up on is my lazy, 15lb cat Loki. Needless to say, I'll probably never be a ninja. But I can pretend.
Express your inner ninja with this cool necklace by Hapa. She hand folds little sheets of fine silver to make each of the origami pendants. How neat is that?? I learned to fold origami as a kid, and I actually have a bowl full "balloons" made of recycled magazine pages on my work desk (for color!). My faves in her store are the ninja star, available as either a necklace or earrings, and the "cootie catcher" design, also available as a necklace or earrings.
And speaking of ninjas (warning: totally random thought here), there's a new CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie due out this month. I'm totally geeked out, and I'm definitely going to see it. I can even hear the old cartoon theme song in my head.
Cowabunga dude.

Mind your manners...or not
I admit it, I read other peoples' blogs. I can't come up with all this stuff by myself. Moving on...
Perusing indieshopping.com, I find this little lovely top. People, this one gets an **oh, holy crap** from me. Please note this is not a bad thing. A rating of OHC means: "this _______ is so stinkin' cool, I now strike my palm against my forehead in disgust because I didn't think of it first."
Imagine the look on his face when you show up on a date with this lovely little shirt. Now imagine the look on his face when he reads what's sweetly embroidered across the back: "Just good boys get presents". And this is one of the "tame" ones. The winning formula here:
Tailored top + Shocking statement = Too good to be true.
Except it isn't. It's just one of the great items available from Lochers, a Paris design atelier headed up by Nicole. For any of you who like to add a bit of BANG to your wardrobe, these well cut, on-the-surface sweet and pretty top will make you wish your rent wasn't due this week.
Just make sure you read the fine print. Cheers.
